The module "Biochemistry" is part of the 4. semester of the Bachelorprogramme (Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology). The course consists of a lecture, a seminar with exercises and a practical course.
The learning objectives of the module focus on structure and function of proteins, lipids, nucleinacids, and carbohydrates. Furthermore, carbohydate and lipid metabolisms are considered. In the part of enzymology the structure of enzymes, their regulation and kinetic as well as the isolation and identification are taught.
