BC-Protein DeterminationThe module "Biochemistry" is part of the 4. semester of the Bachelorprogramme (Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology). The course consists of a lecture, a seminar with exercises and a practical course.

The learning objectives of the module focus on structure and function of proteins, lipids, nucleinacids, and carbohydrates. Furthermore, carbohydate and lipid metabolisms are considered. In the part of enzymology the structure of enzymes, their regulation and kinetic as well as the isolation and identification are taught.

Entry Requirements (Practical Course)

  • Enrollment in the 3. semester of the Applied Biology program at the FH Bonn-Rhein-Sieg.
  • Successful attendance of the Safety Instructions (part of the Introduction Weeks, always in September/October).
    Information For New Students: You have to attend these instructions before you are allowed to participate in any practical course of this university. Please ask for the dates in advance!
